FEAT Swim Lessons
The FEAT swim lesson program is offered in collaboration with FEAT of Louisville. This program was created to provide swim lessons to children on the Autism spectrum in an environment that would best fit their needs and considerations. Instructors use a gentle and progressive technique that focuses on building a one-on-one relationship with each student.
FEAT swim lessons are private 30 minute sessions, offered in sets of eight for $180. FEAT of Louisville offers financial aid to those who qualify to help cover the cost of lessons.
Private lessons mean one-on-one attention for your child and the ability to cater to any special considerations they may have.
Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are offered for all children with and without special considerations. Lessons are offered in sets of five, scheduled once a week for five weeks. The cost for private lessons is $150 per set.
All swim lessons are held at Home of the Innocents in the Kay and Jim Morrissey Advanced Therapy Center’s therapy pool. It is a 92-degree salt water pool outfitted with color-changing underwater lights, adjustable lighting on deck, and underwater speakers. These features are particularly helpful with children who have sensory issues and other special considerations. The pool is monitored by a certified lifeguard / pool attendant at all times and the facility is equipped with emergency call buttons in all locker and changing rooms, as well as on deck.
