When you want to go on vacation with your family...
When you have a family emergency...
When you just need a break...
Do you have a place for your medically fragile child?
Special Needs Respite Care is designed to give parents and caregivers a much needed break from the daily demands of caring for a medically fragile child.
Your child will get to visit with new people and experience new things – it’s like a mini-vacation for them! Our experienced nursing and respiratory staff provide the highest quality of care. The Home’s staff will consult with you and your child’s pediatrician to ensure a seamless transition to and from home.
A variety of activities are offered by our child development staff each day. Additional opportunities for respite families, even after your child’s stay at the Home, include aquatics in our Kay and Jim Morrisey Advanced Therapy Center and vision and dental Services through Open Arms Children’s Health.
Respite Care may be scheduled as far as a year in advance and may be available with shorter notice. If desired, families are invited to utilize respite care services several times a year. Services are paid for by Medicaid or your child’s insurance health plan as a short term nursing home admission.
