Private Adoption Services

The Home is licensed to provide services related to domestic and international adoptions. While we do not currently work with birth mothers to place children in homes for adoption, there are other ways that our staff can assist families who wish to adopt.  Learn more...


PASS Program

The PASS program offers Parent Education, Self-Help, and Support Groups for at-risk parents involved with Child Protective Services and their children. The goal of the program is to prevent incidences of child abuse and neglect.  Learn more...

Project Keepsafe

Project Keepsafe provides single parents in need of treatment for drug and/or alcohol addiction, mental illness, and/or physical illness the opportunity to voluntarily place their children in residential care at the Home.  Learn more...

Kosair Charities Pediatric Convalescent Center

The Kosair Charities Pediatric Convalescent Center (KCPCC) is a home away from home for 46 medically fragile children, ages birth to 21. Our skilled nursing facility provides short-term, long-term and respite care for children with severe developmental and/or physical disabilities, as well as ventilator dependency.  Learn more...

Community Based Services

The Community Based Services program focuses on helping at-risk families in the community through intensive in-home therapy. Services are designed to prevent child abuse, to stop children from entering or remaining in out-of-home care, and to help improve family functioning.  Learn more...

Family Preservation

The Family Preservation Program is a short term, intensive, in-home crisis intervention resource intended to prevent unnecessary placement of children, maintain children safely in their home, and facilitate the safe and timely return home for a child in placement.  Learn more...

Transition to Independence

The Home provides young women, ages 15-18 and including pregnant and parenting girls, a residential program that offers them independent living skills. The young women reside at the Cralle Day House on Home of the Innocents’ campus. Each individual is referred by DCBS, DJJ or Impact Plus. Learn more...


Home of the Innocents’ Aftercare Program helps homeless young adults, ages 18 to 24, transition to independence and self-sufficiency. Clients are primarily former foster care youth and domestic violence victims. Former foster care youth are one of the largest growing homeless populations in the country; 659 aged out of care in Kentucky in 2008. Learn more...

Safe Exchange

Safe Exchange provides a much-needed community service for divorced or separated parents with a history of or potential for domestic violence. The Home’s facility serves as a safe, neutral site for regular custody exchanges to spare children from witnessing ongoing strife and further victimization. Learn more...
