History:
Founded in 1880 by Episcopal Minister, Dr. James Taylor Helm of Christ Church Cathedral

Mission:
To reach out and advocate for children, youth and their families, by providing care and shelter during periods of critical times

Population Served:
Our Chilkind Center provides short and long term residential and community-based services to children, ages infant to 18, who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.



Our Kosair Charities Pediatric Convalescent Center provides long-term residential care for medically fragile, technology dependent, and terminally ill children
