Q: How old must a child be to participate in Baby Splash?
A: 6 mos – 3 years

Q: What are class dates and times?
A: Consult our pool calendar for dates and times, and contact us to be added to our email mailing list.

Q: What will my child experience?
A: Parents and family members will be invited to perform movements and activities to help the child get comfortable in and enjoy the warm 92 degree water. Introduction to the water is paired with basic water skills. We introduce your child to submersion and recovery and work towards basic skills needed in case of emergency situations, such as kicking, floating on their back and wall support. The teacher will begin gearing the child more towards independent movement as levels progress.

Q: What does it cost for the 5 classes?
A: $35 total.

Q: Do I need to pre-register for the class?
A: Yes, there is a registration deadline because we need to have 5 people pre-registered in order to offer the class.

Q: May I come to just one class?
A: No, we are sorry, but the class is progressive and you must sign up and pay the $35 for all 5 classes even if you will not attend them all. No refunds are available.

Q: How do I register?
A: You can call (502) 596-1141 to obtain the registration documents and to pay by phone with a credit card, or bring your payment to the pool office.

Q: Does my child need to wear a swim diaper under the swimsuit?
A: Yes.

Q: Do the parents or other adult family members need to be in the water with the child?
A: Yes, we require one adult in the water per child.

Q: Are there any documents that need to be signed?
A: Yes, for the child and for each person who enters the pool, a waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. This document can be found here on the second page.

Q: Are swimsuits required for adults?
A: Yes, but someone may wear a shirt/shorts over their swimsuit.

Q: Can my other children swim during baby splash?
A: Yes, but they must be supervised by an adult in the water with them, have a signed therapy pool permission form and there is an additional charge per person in the pool of $6 per child and $4 per adult.
